Within the Rap and Hip Hop Industry and genre, there is an
Informal manner of language usage. This is predominantly due to the
representation of strong masculine men being presented on the front cover of
these genre based magazines, suggesting that these masculine men are about the
‘rude, violent and aggressive’ lifestyle. So for my magazine; the language used
will remain partially formal and informal as the audience consists of 16-21;
meaning that the generic stereotypes of the UK youth is negative, which I will
be challenging through the use of moderate and appropriately language. However,
I will be keeping within the codes and conventions of the Rap and Hip Hop genre
slightly by adding small elements, with a prime example of ‘Youngers >
Youngerz’
